Supporting emerging supervisors

InCourage Supervision is dedicated to fostering and growing best practice in professional supervision. And a part of that is supporting experienced practitioners who are transitioning into independent professional supervision practice.

Moving from organisational or internal supervision into private practice can be a significant step, requiring not only strong supervisory capability, but also confidence, visibility, and connection with the wider professional community. The supervisors featured here have demonstrated appropriate training, reflective capacity, and a commitment to ethical, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive supervision.

By offering a small profile on this site, the initiative aims to reduce barriers to entry into independent practice, while helping supervisees identify supervisors whose approach, experience, and values align with their needs.

This initiative reflects a commitment to strengthening the supervision workforce, fostering collegiality rather than competition, and supporting the sustainability and quality of professional supervision across helping professions.

Visitors are encouraged to explore the profiles and make contact directly with supervisors who feel like a good fit for their professional context and development goals.
